Duane G. Tremp

Duane G. Tremp of Grand Ledge,
Went to be with the lord on March 6, 2023, at the age of 85, he was born in Lee Township, MI on May 22, 1937, son of George and Lenore May (Kinsey) Tremp. Duane was a graduate of Marshall High School class of 1955. He served in the United States Army, and was the longtime owner of Tremp Furniture & Upholstery. He was a member of South Church of Lansing. Duane was an avid dancer including ball room and country dancing. He enjoyed sailing, downhill skiing, traveling, and especially loved anything to do with the water.
Duane is survived by his loving wife, Joyce of 66 years; children, Scott (Sandy) Tremp, Debbie (Robert) Sack, Stephen (Deena) Tremp, and Theresa (Kris) Dayton; grandchildren: Nathan (Sarah) Tremp, Jared (Brianne) Tremp, Jeremy (Carrie) Tremp, Lauren Sack, Bryce (Anna) Sack, Taryn (Zak) Hulst, Kate Tremp, Brooke Tremp, Briana (Kody) Chilcott, Brendon (Ashley) Dayton, and Josiah (Emily) Dayton; great grandchildren: Grace, Eli, Samuel, Asher, Lilly, Abbie, Jack, Hazel, Brayden, Alice, Callan, Eleanor, Sutton, and Layne; sister, Wanda (Glen) Waidelich. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lenora; brothers, Gorman and Phillip Tremp; sister, Clarissa Tremp at her birth, and grandchild Micah Dayton.
A Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023 at South Church, 5250 Cornerstone Dr., Lansing, MI 48917 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also take place Friday, March 10, 2023 from 2:00- 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, Grand Ledge. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in loving memory of Duane to the Capital Area Humane Society or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
