Stephen Ellis Vance
Stephen was born on February 11, 1976 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was adopted at the age of 5 by David and Sharon Vance. He was raised in California and graduated from Kern Valley High School in 1995. After graduation, he moved to Utah and then to Texas in 2001.
Stephen was blessed with three children, Morgan (24), Cayden (16) and Dylan (8).
Stephen held many jobs in his lifetime, but the thing he loved the most was hauling things, whether it be junk, trash or people. He took pride in being a driver for Uber, Lyft and Hitch and enjoyed taking people across the state of Texas to their destinations.
Stephen was a man of few words unless the conversation was a topic he was interested in. He was challenged by several health issues but never ever complained about them. He loved NASCAR, tinkering with electronics, watching action movies and spending time with his family.
Stephen was preceded in death by his grandparents and his special Uncle Derbeh.
He is survived by his life partner of the past 9.5 years, Teresa Kmiec; his children, Morgan Sierra Rose Vance, Cayden Carl Douglas Vance and Dylan Andrew Vance-Kmiec; his parents, David and Sharon Vance; brother, Luke Vance (Erin); sister, Skyla Murphy (Sean); in-laws, Jerry and Connie Kmiec; sisters-in-law, Sarah Kmiec and Rebecca Smith (Steven); nieces: Addison, Audrey and Brynlee; nephew, Austin; uncle, Mark Hamilton and many other friends and family.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
