Stephen Wagner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dewald Funeral & Cremation Services Inc on Jan. 2, 2026.
Stephen Miles Wagner, 43, of Paradise, passed peacefully on Wednesday evening, December 31, 2025, at home after a hard-fought battle with lung cancer. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Gregory and Deborah (Scott) Wagner. He was the loving husband of Amy (Leszkowicz) Wagner. They had been together for over 21 years.
Stephen was a 2000 graduate of Octorara High School. A master carpenter, he was employed by Precision Craftsmen, Inc., for 23 years. He was well known for his impeccable carpentry and dry wall finishing skills. In his younger years, Stephen enjoyed spending weekends with his Dad racing AMA motocross and flat track. He was a previous member of Piston Poppers Raceway in Parkesburg, volunteering time at the track with his Dad. Stephen was an avid pool player, most recently in APA eight ball, competing with his team weekly. He even competed in Las Vegas several years ago. He also enjoyed playing darts, fishing, boating and spending time with friends at Raystown Lake. Anyone who knew Stephen knew his love for music. Stephen could always be found writing lyrics, producing his own music and both written and freestyle. It was a lifelong passion, leaving his friends and family many videos and tracks to cherish. He was known for his strong work ethic and boundless energy, rarely ever sitting still.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Grace Wagner, fiancé of Garrett Church and Miles Wagner; his father and mother-in-law, Stan and Susan Leszkowicz of Christiana; brother-in-law, Brian, husband of Jennifer of Lancaster; two sisters, Heather Gilroy of Earlville, MD and Laurice Wagner, companion of Derek Barber of Parkesburg; a nephew, Dylan Barber, and a niece, Ava Barber. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Herbert and Jean Wagner and a maternal grandmother, Marie Scott.
A Celebration of Stephen's life is being planned and will be announced in the near future.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Cancer Assoc., or the Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
