Stephen "Steve" Weippert, age 66, of Highland Michigan, passed away on January 31, 2025. He was born on March 5, 1958, to loving parents Milo and Martha Weippert. Steve was a proud graduate of Walled Lake Western High School, Class of 1977.
In 1978, while working at the same factory, Steve met the love of his life, Arlene Wagnitz. The couple married on June 30, 1979, and together they raised two cherished children, Tracy and Jeremy. Their enduring love and partnership were the foundation of a life built on shared experiences and memories.
For 30 years, Steve worked as a skilled and dedicated auto mechanic, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients. Outside of work, he had a passion for the outdoors. Steve loved hunting, fishing on the Great Lakes, and boating, making the most of every summer day surrounded by nature.
Steve will be remembered as a man of strength, loyalty, compassion, and a remarkably easygoing spirit. He was the kind of person who made those around him feel valued, supported, and cared for. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Beloved husband of Arlene Weippert; loving father of Dr. Tracy Weippert, and Jeremy Weippert; cherished brother of Janice (Richard) Morris, and Barbara (Eric) Adlof; dear uncle of Rob (Sharon) Morris, Carrie (Andrew) Fuller, Carol (Rob) Rudlaff, Jessica (Joe) Ramm, Eric (Nina) Jennings, Jason (Chelsie) Wagnitz, and Dr. Kate Wagnitz; treasured son-in-law of Marvin and Patricia Wagnitz; loved brother-in-law of Dianna (the late Keith) Jennings, Charles Wagnitz, Dale Wagnitz, Cindy Wagnitz, Shelly Wagnitz, and Duane (Kim) Wagnitz.
