Sterling Shaun Johnson
May 24, 2025 our fun loving, joking, adventurous, Baby Barretta finished his job on Earth. Shaun picked the early morning hours to bid farewell to this life. Shaun was born March 20, 1975 in
Murray, Utah.
As a child he was game for anything that came his way. He was the first to try new things and loved collecting adventures.
He met the love of his life, Sara in 2003. They spent 23 amazing years together raising 2 beautiful children.
Shaun fought many demons during his stay on Earth. He was valiant in his battles. He was mighty, yet soft. Fearless and daring.
Shaun will be remembered not only for his infectious energy and sharp wit but also for the kindness he showed to others, even during his darkest moments. If Shaun could help just one person fight their fight , he would have given his life to do it.
If you say you knew Shaun completely, you didn't. He had many layers that not just one person could peel. He was complex but simple. When you were in his space, you were the center of his world. He was a master of many things and pushed the envelope far beyond the boundaries set.
He had a unique ability to light up a room with his laughter and an unshakable strength that inspired those who knew him. Beneath his outward strength, Shaun fought quietly and valiantly with the challenges of depression, a battle he faced with great courage and resilience.
While we are devastated by his choice to leave us, we will celebrate his life.
We are still working through the silence he left behind.
It's an overwhelming task to try and sum up a personality such as Shaun's.
