Sterling Pelky

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a remarkable man, William Sterling Pelky, known affectionately as Sterling to all who knew and loved him. Sterling was born on September 28, 1946, in Dalles, Oregon, and passed away on April 29, 2024, leaving a void that can never be filled but a legacy that will continue to inspire.
Sterling was known for his quick wit and infectious humor. His presence was like a beacon that drew people in, his laughter a melody that softened the hardest of hearts. His funny and witty anecdotes were the life of any gathering and he loved to make people laugh, often cracking jokes just to see a smile on someone's face. Sterling wielded that weapon with finesse, bringing joy and happiness to all around him. He was also an accomplished assistant manager at Walmart before his retirement, where his thoughtful approach to work and innate talent for organization earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
Beyond his professional life, Sterling was a man of many passions. He loved working puzzles and planting flowers, finding joy in the simple act of watching nature unfold. He enjoyed sitting by a lake, fishing rod in hand, savoring the tranquility of each passing moment. His love for his family knew no bounds. He relished spending time with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Sterling was a man with a heart of gold. His kindness, generosity, and the love he had for his wife of 25 years, Renee Pelky, touched many lives and will be remembered fondly.
Sterling is survived by his loving wife, Renee Pelky, son, Micheal Agidius, daughter, Tami Todd and 6 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Sterling Pelky and Louis Lambert and daughter, Sherrice Tonning. His absence will be deeply felt, but his spirit, ever vibrant and full of life, will forever remain in our hearts.
At Sterling's request no services will be held but he would want everyone to go have a beer in his honor and share cherished memories of him with each other.
