Steva Coyle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home and Chapel on Jan. 15, 2026.
Steva Renee Coyle gained her heavenly wings on January 12, 2026. She was born July 18, 1975 to Alvin Emmons and Donna Bain in Oklahoma City.
To know Steva was to love her. She had a firecracker personality, and after just one conversation with her, you felt like you had gained a best friend for life. Strong-willed and outspoken, you never had to wonder what was on her mind. Beneath that bold spirit was the most loving and compassionate heart.
Steva was the kind of person who was always there when someone needed a shoulder to cry on, never more than a phone call away. She poured her heart into her family and found her greatest joy there, especially in her role as "Gigi" to her three grandchildren, whom she loved endlessly. Whether related by blood or not, Steva welcomed those close to her as family, proudly claiming many "adopted" kiddos and grandbabies along the way.
Her mother was her best friend, and their bond was unbreakable. In her later years, Steva moved back home, allowing them to spend cherished time together daily, but even before that, not a single day passed without a phone call between the two of them.
Steva's favorite pastimes included fun game nights at home, cheering on the Oklahoma State Cowboys, and watching Big Brother; a show she loved so much she could tell you the winners from nearly all 27 seasons. Most of all, she loved spending time with the people she cared about.
She is survived by her son, Joe Emmons and wife Kayleigh; daughter, Alisha Coyle; grandchildren, Willow, Peyten, and Nixon; mother, Donna Bain; siblings, Ross Bain and Jessica Warlick; nephews, Lawton and Logan Coyle; as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Grandma, Jewel Muse and Grandpa, Joe Muse; father, Alvin Emmons and wife Linda; stepfather, Ross Bain Sr.; and aunts, Della Mae Hay and Paula Skebe.
Steva had a strong faith and loved Jesus deeply. She demonstrated that faith through the way she loved others. We find comfort knowing she is in Heaven, laughing with her daddy and her two best friends, and saving our place until we meet again.
