Steve Barta Jr

Steve Barta Jr., 82, of Idamay, went to be with the Lord on March 04, 2026, after an extended illness. He was born in Idamay on January 03, 1944, a son of the late Steve and Stella Tossone Barta.

Steve is survived by his children: Steve (Bubba) Barta and wife Frances, and James (Jimmy) Barta and wife Jennifer; Grandchildren: David Myers and wife Megan, Jessica Myers and companion Brian Munson, James Barta, and Charles Henry Barta; great grandchildren: Bella Munson, and John Wayne Myers; sister, Lucy Wells; the mother of his children, Charlotte Robinson; his former daughter-in-law, Lisa Chicarelli; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his daughter Charlotte Renea Myers, his son-in-law David Myers; and his brothers, Nicky Herbert Barta and Charles "Sonny" Barta.

Steve was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was an avid coon hunter and loved his dog, Dixie. Steve enjoyed sitting on his porch with his nephew, Ronnie Reed, and his friend, Roy Snider. He was a great dad who loved his kids and grandkids and would do anything for them.

Friends will be received at the Hutson Funeral Home, 3171 Husky Highway, Farmington, from 10 am until the time of the service at 12:30 pm on Sunday, March 08, 2026, with Pastor Danny Booth officiating.
