Steve Bowen

Steve Bowen of Fenton, Missouri passed away peacefully at his home on July 26, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was 80 years old.
Steve loved life and was happiest just being around people – a Budweiser and a cigar in his garage bar, hunting camp with his boys, dinner out with friends, meeting new people on his travels. He had friendships spanning decades but always had space in his heart for someone new.
Flannel shirts, hot rods, biscuits and gravy, classic country music, plain white tennis shoes - he was a warm, gentle, funny uncomplicated man. Always the eternal optimist that things would have a way of working out. His positive spirit inspired others to not give up. Steve brought joy and humor to those around him, and taught people how to take life a little easier. He leaves a sense of calm, and bravery, in his wake.
Steve is lovingly remembered by his life partner, Robin. His son Steve and his partner Julye, granddaughter Stephanie, great-granddaughters Skylar and Chloe. His son David and his wife Christine, grandson Matthew, granddaughter Lauren. And countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary. Interment will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill, Missouri.
