William Dautenhahn, lovingly known as "Uncle Bobo," passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on June 2, 1961, he was a man whose life was full of simple joys and deep love for family.
William Dautenhahn was a proud member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters local 562. To know Uncle Bobo was to know someone who truly appreciated life's quiet pleasures-casting a fishing line, watching the kids splash in the water, or mowing the lawn with purpose and pride. These everyday moments were his peace, his passion, and his way of staying close to the people and places he loved most.
He is survived by his siblings Brenda (Wes) Phye, Bonnie (John) Wofford. He was the proud father of Joshua (Carissa) Dautenhahn and Immanuel (Courtney) Dautenhahn, and a devoted uncle to Brad (Daviann) Phye, Amanda (Brad) Walters, Zachary Waddington, Beverly (Aaron) Wolford, and Dustin Dautenhahn. His pride and joy, however, shone brightest in his great-nieces and great-nephew-Addyson, Hayden, Peyton, Hadley, Emmyrson-each of whom held a special place in his heart.
William was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Dautenhahn, and his mother, Beverly Fritz Dautenhahn, and brother Robert Dautenhahn. Though he has left this world, his memory will continue to live on in every cast line, every echo of children playing in the water, and every blade of freshly cut grass.
There will be a graveside service on Friday August 1, 2025 at 10:00 A.M,. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at 6300 Hwy 30, Cedar Hill, MO. His life was a testament to the beauty of the ordinary, the strength of family ties, and the joy found in simply being present. Uncle Bobo's love and laughter will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the gift of knowing him.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date to be determined.
