Catahoula - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 03, 2023, at Dion Hall for Steve A. Broussard, 66, who passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023.
A visitation will take place at Dion Hall on Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM on Friday.
Rev. Bill Melancon will officiate at the funeral service.
Steve was born on July 20, 1957, in St. Martinville, Louisiana. He was known for his quick wit, had a good heart, and loved his grandchildren.
Throughout his career, Steve demonstrated an unwavering dedication and commitment to his work. He approached every task with a strong work ethic and determination.
Beyond his professional achievements, Steve was a beloved family member and friend. To his grandchildren, he was a constant source of love and support. Their happiness brought him immense joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
In his free time, Steve indulged in his hobbies and interests. He was a lifelong member of the Catahoula Hunting Club and found solace in nature. There was a special place for him when he entered "Brud-n-law Pond" in the basin.
With his good heart, Steve touched the lives of many.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth DeRouen; sons, Jeremy Broussard, Kelly Broussard, and Kerry Broussard; parents, B.A. "Benny" and Mary Lou Louviere Broussard; sisters, Lonnie Mason, Jodie Belaire, and Lorie (Bryan) Oubre; grandchildren, Abbie Judice, Trey Broussard, Mathew Roy, Madison Broussard, Trystan Broussard, Bentley Broussard, Emma Broussard, and Kaleb Broussard; and a great grandchild Jaxon Landry.
He is preceded in death by his bruds-n-law, Glynn Mason and Jeff Belaire.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Broussard, Kelly Broussard, Kerry Broussard, Trey Broussard, Mathew Roy, and David Buford.
