Steve Daniels

Steve Daniels, 71, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025.

He was born December 22, 1953 in St. Joseph to George and Mary (Brown) Daniels. He was a 1972 graduate of Central High School.

After high school, Steve enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. He proudly served his country for 10 years.

Upon completing his military service, Steve joined the St. Joseph Fire Department, where he was a firefighter/paramedic and chief training officer until retirement.

On June 7, 1995, Steve married Cheryl Simpson. She survives of the home.

Steve loved fly-fishing, especially at Bennett Springs, and also loved to golf. He was known for his quick wit and would share that often with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Sohn Gilbert and Jeremy Daniels; grandson, Jacob Beaderstadt; two brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Cheryl; children, Stephanie Allen, Vonda Daniels, Christin Daniels, and Danny Beaderstadt; grandchildren, Heather Daniels, Denae Gilbert, Derek Gilbert, Tori McNett, and Braden McNett; and four great-grandchildren.

Farewell Services 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 22, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service. The family suggests memorial contributions to Paralyzed Veterans of America. Online guest book and obituary at www.meierhoffer.com.
