Steve Gilbert Obituary
Steve was preceded in death by his parents Pauline Tidwell Gilbert and Melvin Royce Gilbert.
He is survived by his high-school sweetheart, and wife of 53 years Dianne Dorsey Gilbert, they literally grew up together! As well as his daughter Paula Gilber Barrentine, son Michael Royce Gilbert, grandson John William Barrentine and brothers Dean Gilbert and Paul Gilbert.
Steve loved his family more than anything, he was a great provider and loving friend. To know him was to love him. Of all the things in this world, he was most proud of his title and being "Pok" to his grandson John William! He enjoyed trips to the Smokey Mountains and loved his "grand dog," Cash. Steve left a lasting mark on the lives of everyone he came across; he is loved immensely and will be missed beyond measure.

I met Steve through his wife Diane. He was a very sweet and warm person. He will be missed. Much love to his wife and children.
