Steve Mannon

Steven C. Mannon, 73, of Minonk Illinois, died on October 21, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. Born on September 5, 1951 in Galesburg to the late Maurice and Betty (Lindahl) Mannon, he married Jennifer Kuhlman in Aug of 1996 in Lacon. She survives. Steve is also survived by his children Steve Mannon Jr. of the state of Oregon, Brandy Courtway of Lacon Illinois, Mindy Mannon of Lacon, Bradley (Luca) Mannon of Pontiac Illinois; sisters Renee Parrish of Lacon, Michelle Pyles of Varna Illinois, and grandchildren Kevin & Micayla. He was also blessed with many nieces and nephews. Steve was a tender and sprayer for agricultural supply companies for close to 40 years, hauling and applicating fertilizers and products on local farms. He worked for Farm Service (FS), Burroughs, and Helena agriculture companies. Steve was an avid fisherman and loved playing video games, especially Borderlands and Fallout. He was a die-hard Bears and Cubs fan. Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 3 at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon at noon. Visitation will be held from 11 to 12 also at Lenz. Burial will immediately follow in the Magnolia cemetery. A celebration of life will be held immediately following the burial at Whiskerz Pub in Lacon.
