He was born on December 22, 1950 in Humboldt to the late Herbert Ray Smith and Bonnie Lou Fullerton Smith. Steve owned and operated Humboldt Motors since 1986. He enjoyed all things cars and for those who knew him, knew he loved to eat.
He is survived by his wife, Jenny Smith of Humboldt; two sons, Robert Smith of Humboldt and RD Smith (Brooke) of Milan; sister, Kathy Cooper (Dennis) of Jackson; two grandchildren, Tucker Robinson and Audrey Rose Smith; bonus daughter, Brittany Harris of Humboldt; bonus brother, Terry Grimes of Humboldt; and bonus grandson, James Grimes (Christy).
A memorial gathering will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Steve R. Smith, please visit our floral store.
