Steve Stephens Obituary

Steve Edwin Stephens, 63, of Old River Winfree, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in Webster, Texas.

Born January 21, 1963, in DeRidder, Louisiana, Steve was the son of Henry Edwin Stephens and Leona Davis Stephens. A graduate of Rose Pine High School, he spent his 41-year career as a chief operator for Enterprise Products and was a member of Old River Baptist Church. For the past 15 years he made his home in Old River Winfree.

Steve was a man who loved simply and loved deeply. As a loving partner to Pamela, a proud father to Colby, Ryan (Machelle), Payton (Brooke), Eli and Lily, and a doting PawPaw to Parker, Casey, Maia and Wren, his family meant the world to him. He lived for those small, meaningful moments- fishing on an open lake, hunting, laughing around a crawfish boil, tending his garden, listening to the songs he loved, and sharing evenings around the fire with those closest to him. Generous, steady, and selfless, Steve always put the needs of others before his own and gave with an open heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Dow Stephens; niece and nephews Melissa Asbill, Brendan Jackson and Jason Hogg; and his granddaughter Arabella Stephens. He is lovingly survived by his loving partner; his children; his sisters Beverley, Gayle, Joan, Pam, Donna and Janet; his grandchildren; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends who treasured him, and his Enterprise family.

Few could fill the space Steve leaves behind. His steadiness, warmth and quirky humor shaped the lives of everyone who knew him. Though we will miss him each day, his kindness, laughter and devotion live on in the stories we tell, the lessons he taught, and the love he sowed in all of us. Rest well, Steve-you gave us so much.

We love you the mostest.
