Steve Tabhan Jr. passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at the age of 89. Born January 30, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas, Steve was a very caring, loving, and good hearted person. He loved the guitar and sang for the church choir. His passions included playing baseball, traveling, and family gatherings. He proudly served in the United States Navy and was a Korean War Veteran. Steve is reunited in Heaven with his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Rose Tabhan; parents Estevan and Dolores Tabhan; sisters Janie Sanchez and Irma Munoz. Steve was loved dearly and will be missed by children Rosemary(David), Cynthia(Roy), and Carolyn(Lorenzo); 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; siblings Paul, George, Lydia, Rosalinda, and Dolores; numerous extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home on Monday, October 11, 2021 from 3:30-8:00pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:00am on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 for a 10am funeral mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery III.
