Steve Allen Whisenant

Steve Allen Whisenant, 75, of Lenoir, departed this life to his heavenly home on Friday September 24, 2021 at Amorem Hospice in Hudson following a period of declining health. Mr. Whisenant was born on June 8, 1946 in Caldwell County to the late Clyde Alex Whisenant and Rosalee Brown Whisenant. He was retired as dye house manager at Cajah's Mountain Hosiery with over 40 years of service, and was a member and deacon at Faith Baptist Church in Lenoir. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Gene Whisenant and an infant sister. Survivors include his wife, Beulah Jean may Whisenant of the home; a nephew (who was like his son) Patrick Woods; his brothers, Lee Allen Whisenant, Bruce Miles Whisenant, Perry Donald Whisenant, and Ted Wayne Woods; and one sister, Diane Whisenant. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday September 26, 2021 at Faith Baptist Church in Lenoir with Rev. Derick Lingerfelt, Rev. Jerry Lingerfelt and Rev. James Hicks. Interment will follow in the Faith Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00-3:00 P.M. at Faith Baptist Church.
