Steven Don Adams, our loving husband, father, son, and brother was called home unexpectedly on November 17, 2021.
Steve was born March, 20th, 1967 in San Diego, California to the late Don S Adams and JoAnn S Adams, American Fork, UT. He was the second of two children; the only son, with an older sister, Cheryl Adams, Portland, OR. On August 25, 2005, Steve married the love of his life, his beautiful, lovely wife, Miriam Decena in Tokyo, Japan. They were blissfully happy and loved fully, completely, and without reservation, being not only husband and wife, but also soulmates and the very best of friends.
Steve grew up in sunny Southern California where he surfed, fished, and hunted with his dad. Being with his dad, his partner in all outdoor activities, brought him the greatest joy. He served an honorable mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Kobe, Japan. After returning home, he attended Berkley, where he graduated with honors with a double major in Business Administration and Japanese Studies.
Following his graduation, he returned to Japan and spent almost half of his life there, working as VP of Sales in the golf industry for Calloway, Ping, and Nike. Steve was incredibly talented, extremely successful, and hardworking. Although Steve loved work and excelled in all he did, he loved family, friends, and people even more. Steve and Miriam lived in the Philippines as well, enjoying ample time with Miriam's family whom he loved so dearly. Steve and Miriam moved back to the US to be with his mom and dad, settling in Las Vegas, NV. Steve had what he called his "dream job" working for Bass Pro Shops in Vegas where he was among friends and worked with people who considered him family. He interacted with customers who were also passionate about fishing, hunting, and outdoor activities.
Steve is preceded in death by his father, Commander Don S. Adams, his mother-in-law, Necita Cristobal Decena. He is survived by his wife Miriam Adams of Nevada, Mother JoAnn Adams, Utah, and his daughters Charm Adams, Dubai and Sierra Adams, California, as well as several loving brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews who all looked to him as a friend and a source of happiness and light.
A service will be held Saturday, December 4th, 2021, beginning at noon, with a viewing at 11:00 a.m. The service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1725 Palora Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89169. He will be laid to rest in the Palm Eastern Cemetery, Las Vegas, NV.
