Steven "Beev" Armstrong

Steven "Beev" Armstrong, 69, of Palmyra, Illinois, passed away at his home on August 3, 2025. He was born in Springfield, Illinois, on March 12, 1956, to Russell and Beverly (nèe Cox) Armstrong. Steven was raised in Oakford, Illinois. He loved his dog, Hiedi. Steven is survived by his son, Jamie Armstrong; his daughter, Alicia Vogt; two grandchildren, Adalynn Renee Bauser and Oakley Otto Schafer; his siblings, Linda Duncheon, Janet (Bill) Nolting, John Armstrong, Clara (Bub) McCoy, David Armstrong and Mike (Shawn) Armstrong; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Charles Neal. Steven was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Russell "Rusty" Armstrong Jr; and a sister, Dolly Armstrong. A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg, Illinois. Cremation Rites will follow. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Kilbourne Cemetery in Kilbourne, Illinois.
