Steven Ball Obituary

Steven was born in Chicago, IL, on July 8, 1970, to his parents, Raymond Lee and Rebecca Diana (Dixon) Ball. Steven was saved in 1996 and was a born-again believer. Steven had many hobbies, he loved fishing, blacksmithing, making things, and "junking", always picking things up off the side of the road and he was an exceptional mechanic. He found humor in everything, and he could often be seen with his wig on making everyone laugh. He was a wonderful man and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his daddy, Raymond Lee Ball; grandparents, Augustine and Dorine Dixon; as well as several aunts, uncles, and family members.
Steven is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Kristi (Kidd) Ball; his children, twins, Matthew and Faith, and Charity Ball; mother, Diana Ball; sisters, Tammy (Ball) Saults (Ronnie), and Teresa (Ball) Fields (Denny); brothers, Mark Dixon (Becky), and Scott Ball; uncles, Joe Dixon and Danny Dixon; mother and father-in-law, Alan and Evelyn Kidd; sister-in-law, Amy Easterling; as well as several nieces and nephews, extended family members, many special friends, and all of his animals.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Johson-Arrowood Funeral Home. The celebration of life service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Rick Vannoy officiating. Pastor Benny Spears, his sister, Teresa Fields, and his brother, Mark Dixon will be speaking.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home to help the family with funeral costs.

Steve was the type of guy that you would wanna hang out with in school just for the laughs...he had a great personality and was a great person...to all the family you're in my thoughts and prayers and Steve will never be forgotten! Tracy Stinson
