Steven Barney Obituary
Steven Scott Barney, age 62, of Roosevelt, passed away January 11, 2024 at the Uintah Basin Medical Center.
Steven was born March 11, 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Nathan A and Maxine Ruth Stout Barney.
Steven had a great personality, was full of fun, and delighted in laughing with others. He loved the outdoors, especially the mountains, he was an avid hunter and also enjoyed fishing. He taught his boys how to fix and take care of things and was a good example to everyone. He loved animals of any kind.
He is survived by his sons, Brandon Taylor, Cameron Barney, his siblings, Lawrence Nathan (Kayleen) Barney, Paul Clayton (Katherine) Barney, Carol (Bruce) Smith, Marilyn (Phil) Brierley, Sherrie (Rick Miller) Barney, and brother-in-law, Clyde Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his son, Colby Barney, siblings, Jeanette Wilson, and Kathleen Barney,
Per his wishes he was cremated.
