Steven D. "Tank" Brenneman, 59 years of age, passed away suddenly Sunday, March 20, 2022 at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.
There will be a viewing held from 5-7p.m. on Friday, March 25 at John W. Keffer Funeral Home, 2114 W Market Street, York, PA 17404. There will also be a viewing at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 26 followed by a service at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Church 219 S. Beaver Street, York, PA 17401.
Steve was the beloved husband of Lisa R. (Kotzman) Brenneman. They were happily married for 29 years. Together they had four children: Leah (26), Steven (24), Patrick (22), and Abigail (19).
Steven was born at York Hospital on December 1, 1962, the son of Shirley K. Brenneman and the late Dale D. Brenneman. He was the brother of Dale A. Brenneman, Timothy S. Brenneman, the late Gregory L. Brenneman, Lauri L. (Brenneman) Miller and Thomas D. Brenneman.
Steve attended West York High School and graduated in the class of 1980. When he was young, he played sports for West York Boys Club, where he was known as "Tank". He worked for many of his family's businesses, including a used car lot S.K. Motors. For the rest of his life, you could find him behind the counter at Dale D. Brenneman's Notary in West York. Steve had many good times with friends and family archery hunting and fishing. He was a jack of all trades and could fix any problem he faced. He loved watching sporting events, NASCAR races, and Fox News. Steve forever supported his kids in their extra curriculars. Known as the life of the party, he constantly had a smile on his face. And he always had the last word by telling his family, "I hate always being right".
Steve was a dedicated family man and lived as an example to all fathers, brothers, sons, and husbands. He will be greatly missed by his wife, children, siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and those lucky enough to call him a friend.
