Steven Wesley Caldwell, 68, of Solsberry, passed away on December 24, 2022, at his residence. He was born to William and Lois Acuff Caldwell on August 21, 1954, In Bloomington, Indiana. Steve Attended Edgewood and Martinsville High School. He had a love for travel in his youth and camped the west with his family. He grew up with the love of family and spent hours with his grandpa Lee hunting and fishing and working in the log woods.
He was excellent with pen and ink and had a love of the outdoors and the quiet country life. He loved his dogs and raised pigs and geese with his son Jeff. He worked alongside his brother Charlie for many years putting up hay for their grandpa and later in the log woods with Charlie. He spent many hours also working in the garage with his father Bill learning wood working and many useful trades. family was his passion, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind a host of loving family. A Sister Charlene Caldwell Taylor and husband James of Newburgh as well as nieces and nephews. His children; Kevin and Michelle and Jeff and Jason and former wife and companion Karen Caldwell Watkins; Many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; A beloved aunt Judy Caldwell Hamilton and husband Leon, Uncle James Acuff and lots of loving cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Lois Caldwell and grandparents Lee and Pearl Acuff and Charles and Pauline Caldwell. His brother Charles Lee Caldwell and two nephews, Scotty Caldwell, and Timothy Paul Taylor.
His family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, January 9, 2023, from 10AM to 12 PM at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer, Indiana. His celebration of life will begin at noon with Pastor Dustin Payne. He will be laid to rest in his family plot at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church AT 3100 Burma Road Gosport, Indiana.
