Steven Cantrell, 52 of Gibsonburg passed away on February 11, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born February 4, 1971 in Oregon, Ohio to Kenneth & Judy Cantrell.
Steven graduated in 1989 from Gibsonburg High School. He loved playing basketball & loved the few years that he coached. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Steven was a carpenter and was proud to work for Farnham Equipment Company. He was also a member of local 351.
In 1994 he married Debra (Elmer) and have been happily married for 28 years. Together, they have 2 children, Andrew (Marisa) and Abby. He was a very proud and great father and his greatest joy was watching and coaching them. In July, he happily became a PawPaw to Brady Douglas. He also loved to be a great uncle to his special 'lil buddies', Ali Ce and Elli Kae Ickes.
Steven is also survived by his parents, Kenneth and Judy; brothers Jeff (Shelly) and James (Bobbi); mother-in-law,Susie Elmer; nieces Heather (Jim), Lindsay (William "Clyde"), Libby, Emily, and Leann (Becca); nephews, Jordan, James, Patrick, and Tyler; and very special cousins. He's preceded in death by his grandparents, and father-in-law, Walt.
A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15 from 2:00-5:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, Gibsonburg. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16 at the Gibsonburg Community Church (795 W. Madison Gibsonburg Ohio) beginning at 11:00AM with an hour of visitation prior to services at the church. Burial will be private for the family.
Memorial donations can be made to the Gibsonburg Community Church.
