Born in Bronx, NY, to Joseph and Lillian (née Heller) Cohen, before moving to and residing in Monroe Township, NJ 49 years ago.
He was an U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving from 1962 to 1966.
Prior to retiring in 2009, Steven was a traffic coordinator for ABC News in Manhattan, NY for 44 years.
In his spare time, he loved bowling, going to the casino and doing puzzles.
Steven is predeceased by his father, Joseph, and his mother, Lillian.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Sarah (née Alston) Cohen of Monroe Township, NJ; his daughter, Susan Naperkowski and her husband, Stanley, of Monroe Township, NJ; his son, Robert Cohen of Spring, TX; his four grandchildren, Keith, Matthew, Noelle & Zachary; his brother Howard; and his sisters Roberta and Marsha.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 10:45 am, at Beth Abraham Cemetery, 617 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ, under the direction of MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, East Brunswick, NJ. For directions, please view our "Events" listed below.

Steve was a wonderful man. He was a real team player and always had my back. He had the neatest handwriting I ever saw. I will miss him. My condolences to Sarah and his family.
