Steven Daniel Crosmer, 65, of Clearwater, FL entered Heaven on July 20, 2022, after a long battle with cancer.
A lifelong Christian, Navy Veteran, and train enthusiast, Steve accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and made Jesus the Engineer of his life.
Born in Stillwater, OK on June 2, 1957, Steve appreciated and loved the many "conductors" God provided throughout his lifetime. Steve made stops at many stations- possibly yours- and he always enjoyed each one.
As a lover of baseball, Steve's stops included many Rays and Dodgers ballgames. Even if his team didn't win, he still enjoyed being at the game.
Steve served his country in the US Navy and was proud to be a Navy veteran. After living in both California and Florida, Steve eventually settled at On Top of the World in Clearwater, FL where he was known as "Steve the Talker". He often made stops throughout the day to talk and visit with his neighbors.
Steve enjoyed travel and had a long career as a truck driver where he made it a point to visit friends and family if he had a layover. Even though he retired from making truck stops, Steve kept on trucking with the Lord. Many at First Lutheran in Clearwater and Our Savior in St. Petersburg saw Steve's faith in action and were blessed by his stops with them.
Steve enjoyed listening to rock music and was an expert on classic rock trivia. It was no surprise that Steve left this world listening to "Stairway to Heaven" and "Bye Bye Miss American Pie".
Steve is survived by his parents Walter E. and Marjorie Crosmer and his siblings (spouses): Jesse (Becky) Crosmer, Ruth Crosmer Wartick, Andrew (Cheryl) Crosmer, Joy (Robert) Crosmer Bryant, and Walter F. (Diane) Crosmer, He had two Godsons: Scott Reik and Jesse Bryant (Captain US Army).
Many loving nephews, nieces, and great- nephews and nieces are thankful to have shared Steve's train trip of life here and look forward to joining him at the final destination - Heaven.
A memorial service will be held at First Lutheran Church in Clearwater, FL on August 20, 2022, at 11 a.m.
If you wish, donations may be made in Steve's name to the Principal's Discretion Fund at First Lutheran School, 1644 Nursery Road, Clearwater, FL 33756.

Steve was a good friend, brother in Christ, and fellow railfan. We met at a meeting of the Florida Coalition of Railroad Passengers several years ago and kept in touch by text message and mail. In our separate travels, we would collect train and transit schedules and materials and mail them to each other. We last got together for a meal in February of this year while I was briefly in Florida. I am sorry today to learn of Steve's passing, but happy in his knowledge of Jesus as Savior and Lord. Steve's departure leaves an empty place in my heart.
