Steven Paul Curasi, 45, of Lucas, KY passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Shanti Niketan Hospice House in Glasgow, KY. He was born in Winter Park, FL and was a 2000 graduate of Colonial High School in Orlando, FL. Stephen moved to Barren County in 2007 with his parents and attended the Barren County Special Olympics and the Arc of Barren County and was a member of Mt. Union Methodist Church.

He is survived by his parents: Paul and Liz Curasi, Lucas, KY;

1 brother: Scott Curasi and wife, Allison, Lucas, KY;

A nephew: Andrew Curasi, Lucas, KY;

1 aunt: Lynne Croswell, Ludlow, VT;

1 uncle: Tony Chalhoub and wife, Jan, Orlando, FL; and

Several cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Mt. Union Methodist Church with Pastor Chay Smithson officiating. In honor of Steven's zest for life, and if you wish to, you may wear bright colors, crazy socks, necklaces, bracelets, rings and "sunglasses on your head!" Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Shanti Niketan Hospice House, 1020 Glenview Drive, Glasgow, KY 42141; Barren County Special Olympics, 101 Hereford Lane, Glasgow, KY 42141 (Attn: Steven Curasi Memorial Fund); Arc of Barren County, Venmo: @thebcarc or P.
