Steven R. Cyr

Steven R. Cyr, 69, of Bristol, died on Sunday (December 14, 2025) at Bristol Hospital.

Steve was born on May 23, 1956, in Van Buren, ME, the son of the late Chanel and Yvette (Masse) Cyr.

He grew up in Van Buren, where he graduated high school, and later moved to Bristol, becoming a dedicated employee of Connecticut Spring and Stamping.

Steve had a passion for listening to music, especially country and rock and roll. He loved dancing and often got down on the dance floor. Known for his playful, goofy sense of humor, he enjoyed teasing and joking with those around him, always finding joy in making others laugh.

Steve is survived by his daughter, April Cyr of Wilmington, NC; seven siblings: Allen Cyr of Sabattus, ME, Della Bell of Caribou, ME, David Cyr of St. Petersburg, FL, Sandra Lebel of Bangor, ME, Janice Doucette of Plainville, CT, and Lou Ann Lebel of Brewer, ME; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Rodney Cyr.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at The Pines and Bristol Hospital for the compassionate care they provided to Steve and the support they offered to his family.

Private services will be held in the spring. Funk Funeral Home, Bristol, CT is honored to serve the family.
