Steven John Daniels Sr, 59, of Broad Brook, CT, passed away unexpectedly on September 1st, 2025. He was born on November 30, 1965, to James Francis Daniels Jr and MaryAnn (Daniels) Dykeman in Athol, Massachusetts.
He married Jean Patterson in 1992 and they had one child, Steven Daniels Jr. Steven is survived by his mother, MaryAnn (Daniels) Dykeman and her husband Robert Dykeman, his wife, Jean (Patterson) Daniels, son, Steven Daniels Jr and his wife Becky and their son Landon, brother Michael Daniels and his wife, Shirley, sister Suzanne Norcross and her husband Rod Norcross, his close friend Efrain Jr Barrios, nephews Raine Patterson and David Griffin, as well as many nephews, nieces, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Francis Daniels Jr.
Steven was an active member of Troop 16 of Athol as a scout for 6 years and the Advancement Chair for over 10 years where he spent countless hours helping local youth. Steven is remembered by his family and friends for his love of motorcycles, walking and camping as well as his kindness and willingness to help others.

Calling hours will be held Monday, September 8, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM with a funeral at 11:00AM at Mack Family Funeral Homea, Athol-Orange Chapel, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange, MA.
Interment will follow at Silver Lake Cemetery, Silver Lake Street, Athol, MA, where he will be laid to rest next to his father.
Family requests casual attire at calling hours and Graveside Service.
Steven’s family invites everyone to an informal reception at the American Legion,325 Pequoig Ave., Athol, MA
