Steven J. Feist 76, of Elizabeth, Colorado, passed away peacefully on October 27,2025.

Born in 1948 in Denver, Colorado. Steve grew up in Englewood, where he attended school and earned letters on the swim team.

After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1979, achieving proficiency as a Interior Communications Electrician (IC) with Closed-Circuit Television specialization.

He graduated from Master Remedial/Preventive Operations Training School in the military. He was honorably discharged after seven years of dedicated service.

Steve built a respected career at Martin Marietta/Lockheed Martin as a Quality Assurance Inspector, where his precision and integrity were hallmarks of his work. A lifelong Catholic, he was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and found strength in his faith.

Steve's passions were many and hands-on. He loved horses and all animals, delighted in tinkering with cars, and took pride in home renovations, electronics, and electrical projects. He enjoyed car shows, the National Western Stock Show & Rodeo, or a chance to lace up ice skates or hit the ski slopes. Those who knew him best remember a fun-loving, honest, kind, and patient man who believed deeply in fairness and lived it every day.

He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin. Steve was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Christy Velkers (Feist), and his parents, Edward & Jeane Feist. He is survived by son Troy (Jane Huynh) Feist, daughter Cynthia Feist, step son Jacob Williams, brother Ed (Ricki) Feist, sister Joan Feist, brother Robert (Donna Rawlins) Feist, Lauri ((Roy) Sorenson, grandson Alexander (Angelina) Loveall, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends who will cherish his memory.

Services will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery on November 18, 2025 @ 11:30 am.

Burial with military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
