Steven H. Fuchs, age 82, of St. Louis, MO, died Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born June 29, 1943 in St. Louis, the son of the late John L. and Lorraine (Stange) Fuchs.

Surviving are three siblings: Judith (the late Robert) Schmersahl, Larry (Mary Jo) Fuchs and Jeffery Fuchs, all of St. Louis; a niece and nephew, Lauren (Cody) Hayes and Rob Schmersahl, both of St. Louis; and three great-nephews Jackson and Jonah Schmersahl, John Hayes and one great-niece Lorelei Hayes all of St. Louis.

Steven graduated from Mehlville High School, St. Louis, University of Missouri, Columbia and received his Master Degree from Kansas State University, Kansas City, Kansas. He was a Social Worker all of his working life helping countless individuals and/or their families. Steven retired as a social worker from the St. Louis Public School System in 2007. Steven loved his family, books, music, the Arts, movies, and the Baseball Cardinals. He co-founded The Kinda Blue Jazz Club with his brother Larry.

A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, August 17, 2025, with refreshments following at First Unity Church of St. Louis, 4753 Butler Hill Rd., St. Louis, Mo., 63128.
