With sadness we acknowledge the passing of Steven Verl Grover on Tuesday September 23, 2025. He is so happy to be with his parents and sister Cindy once again. His health challenges finally won the battle, and he is now free from pain. The VA hospital valiantly kept him going and enjoying life as best as he could.
Steve lived his life under his own terms and surrendered to once again find peace.
He was born January 4, 1949 to Verl and Leila Grover in Brigham City, Utah. He married Elaine Harrison and later divorced. They had three children Chad, Lori, and Debbie. He served in Vietnam from 1969-1971 with the 9th and 101st division. It was his greatest accomplishments and worst experience.
He worked in car dealerships where he met his wife, companion and love of his life Cay Clark. He raised Angela and Jim Bell and was a father to them. The wonderful camping and water-skiing trips we had were the greatest memories of our life. We lived 25 years in our wonderful home in West Bountiful and loved his muscle cars, The Beach Boys gardening and raising cattle and alfalfa hay.
Steve returned to his faith and was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren grow up to be respectable adults. He is survived by his wife Cay, sister Verleen (Gregge Hardman), brother Ricky (Maureen) Grover, brother-in-law Brian Torgeson, kids -Angela, Jim (Candi), Chad (Jenny), Lori and Debbie (Brad), 4 grandchildren Dalton, Cartur, Cody and Zak.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 2:00pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N 400 E Bountiful, Ut 84010
