Steven Wayne Haskell, Sr.

February 13, 1949 ~ February 2, 2021

Amazing father, uncle, grandpa and friend, Steven Wayne Haskell, Sr. passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021.

He was born February 13, 1949 in Payson, Utah to Henry and Lucille Box Haskell.

Steve spent a good portion of his life working one odd job or another, a heavy machinist by trade followed by construction. From small jobs at home to eventually building bricks for Interpace Brick to stair ramps for Jetway, he loved the busy work. Later in life, he went to ATC and graduated with a degree in accounting and took a "slowing down" job at H & R Block. He spent a small amount of time retired and bored out of his mind so he went back to work at Winco where he made many wonderful friends and worked diligently to serve and provide for people as well as his Temple work to assist in opening the opportunity for those both on earth and those who have passed.

Steve was a counselor in the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worked in the Ogden Temple. He was very thankful for his calling with the church and felt honored and privileged to serve the Father.

He loved the outdoors; hiking, fishing, camping and spending any time he could on his property in Duschene.

Steve was an amazing person, he was always ready to help in any way he was able, even if it was just to sit quietly beside you, and his was always a safe place to go for anyone that needed it.

He is survived by his children, James Wayne, Teressia (Hector) Lynne, Steven Wayne Jr., Angela Carol, Freedom (Chris) Ann, Joshua (Zerriana) James; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marieta (Ronnie); brothers, Clyde and Stanley and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronald.

The family would like to give thanks to Aspen Ridge Home Health and Hospice for all of their help and caring; specifically, Brian, Lindsi and Trevor. A special thanks to Jeanette Hall for going above and beyond for us.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on March 3, 2021 at the Lorin Farr 1st Ward Chapel, 480 East 7th Street.
