Steven Eric Henderson, 62, of Mount Vernon, OH, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family, in Mount Vernon.
Steve was born June 15th, 1962 in Washington, MO to Don and Norma Jean {Augustine} Henderson.
He graduated from Union High School in Union MO where he participated in the Marching Band and gained a love of music and the ability to play all kinds of instruments.
He was with Kimberly S. Burton, the love of his life, for about 12 years.
Steve worked as a factory laborer for Sanoh and TRW for many years. He enjoyed Ham Radio, gardening, landscaping, and grilling steak! He loved music of all kinds and was a DJ from time to time. He loved to turn the tables on a conversation. He loved children and children loved him. He was a straight shooter and an honest man.
Steve will be deeply missed by Kimberly and his daughter Deana (Travis) Daffron, his grandchildren, Brandon, Eric and Viola, his brother Leon Henderson, and his parents, Don and Norma who are both still living. He will also be missed by his friends, Ruth Burton, Tim Scott, Julie Scott, Courtney Scott, Jessica Bryant, James Bryant, and his extended grandchildren, Logan, Abigal, and Owen.
Steve was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Tomory and extended grandson Landyn.
A private celebration of life will be held later by the family.
