Steven Hernandez, Sr. (52), born on June 23, 1973, in Harrisburg, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on March 19, 2025.
He was the cherished son of Rosita and Al Lewis Parker, and a devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters Stephanie, Heaven, and Rosita, and his sons Trevion and Steven Jr. He also leaves behind three stepchildren and two grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.
As a beloved brother, Steven, affectionately known as “Stefon” or “Peanut,” will always be remembered by Angel, Tony, Andre, Terrence, Christopher, and Beverly Hernandez. Known for his kindness, generosity, and selflessness, he had a unique ability to bring happiness to everyone around him. Steven’s warm spirit and vibrant personality made a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Steven’s passion for cooking brought him immense joy, and his signature dish—boneless chicken breast smothered in green peppers and onions, served with potatoes—was a highlight at many gatherings. He was the heart of every event, effortlessly spreading laughter, sharing jokes, and telling endless stories, all while consistently speaking with kindness—his unique and unforgettable trademark.
Steven also had a special appreciation for his hair, jewelry, pocket knives, and iconic black leather jackets, which perfectly reflected his distinctive style and charm. Music was a constant source of energy in his life, and he truly thrived in his role as the life of the party, brightening every room he entered.
Steven’s presence leaves an indelible mark on our hearts. In times of sorrow, we can find comfort in the cherished memories we shared with him and the love he gave so freely. His words, “I love you forever,” will continue to resonate in our hearts, reminding us of his enduring warmth and care.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc., located at 3532 Walnut Street, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Viewing is from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with the funeral service to follow.
