Steven P. Hudson, age 57 of Oldmans Township, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. Born in Woodbury to the late Robert Hudson and Elizabeth Hudson (nee Booth), Steve grew up in West Deptford and attended West Deptford High School. He then joined the Army National Guard where he earned the sharpshooter qualification. Most recently, he was employed at Iron Mountain in
Wilmington, DE where his coworkers and friends admired his hard work ethic, where he received employee of the month recognition for his dedication. Most importantly, they loved Steve's "larger than life" personality and his sense of humor, just like his family did. He loved to bust people's chops and crack jokes everyday, incorporating fun into his days. He disliked negativity and worry, as he always said, "Worrying ain't gonna get you anywhere anyway, so why do it?".
In his spare time, Steve collected comic books and other collectables and loved reading books of multiple genres. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles Fan and lover of all sports. His favorite food was bacon and he loved cooking on his grill, even in winter. Most of all, Steve enjoyed time spent with his family, especially in Sea Isle City, Ocean City, and Wildwood. He and his wife also visited Florida and had a memorable trip to California where he visited his brother Ricky and visited several of California's attractions. Steve loved animals and is survived by his loving cats, T-One, T-Two, Copper, & Sammie, and was predeceased by his beloved Sparky.
He is also survived by his wife of 28 years Martha Hudson (nee Zane), his children, Joshua C. Hudson (King Titan), Leslie A. Buckingham, and Eric P. Buckingham, James B. Hudson; siblings, Richard "Ricky" Hudson (Diana), and Theresa Hudson, sisters-in-law, Eileen McFarland, Diane Hudson, and Rosie Hudson; brothers-in-law, Michael Bates (Hanni) of Germany, and Steve George, and nieces & nephews, Stephanie George, Mark Ward, Zachary Hudson, Tyler Hudson, Sierra Whitaker, and Camille Hudson and numerous cousins.
