Steven Lee Huwe was born December 10, 1954 to Arthur Herman and Evelyn Hulda (Lubitz) Huwe at the St. James Hospital in Perham, MN. He was baptized December 22, 1954 and confirmed in 1968 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Corliss Township, rural Perham. Steve went to country school and graduated from Perham High School in 1972. When he was six years old Steve would drive tractor standing up and he’d get mad when his dad made him quit. He was a farm boy all of this life. After high school, Steve went to work at the potato farms working for Swensons and for RDO for 49 years; he loved his farming jobs. Steve met the love of his life Rhonda Schnoor and they were married October 21, 1978. They had 47 great years together. Steve and Rhonda adopted their daughter Tabitha when she was 15 years old. She was the biggest highlight of their life, loving her with open hearts. She wanted everyone to know her dad was the most amazing, loving father a girl could get. She will miss him dearly, knowing she will see him again in heaven. Steve will be remembered for his love of John Deere tractors, hunting, daughter Tabitha, and his faithfulness to Immanuel Lutheran Church over the years. Steve passed away at home on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
