Steven Richard Jensen peacefully passed away in the care of hospice on July 19, 2024.
He was born on September 20, 1952, in Murray Utah, to George E. Jensen and Betty Jacobson Jensen. He was the second oldest of five sons.
He was a natural athlete and had a passion for sports. He enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, volleyball, bowling, fast pitch softball as well as coaching his own sons in little league baseball. He never missed a game! He enjoyed watching Sunday football and his favorite teams were the Utes and the 49ers.
He spent most of his life as a salesman in the industrial supply business and enjoyed many of his Saturdays with his brothers at the family mink ranch, which would usually involve a trip to Taco Bell or coffee at Dee's. He retired in 2012 when he became disabled and moved into assisted living where he made many friends.
He is survived by his six children; Stephanie (Craig), Tony(Anita), Shanna (Rudy) Stevie, Curt, and Braxton. Eight grandchildren; Jessica (Kolton) Marina, Anthony, Zach, Sadie, Serenitee, Jordan, and Tiffany. One great grandchild; Kohen, and his brother Jack (Cindy).
A viewing for family and friends will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 9:00-10:45 AM at McDougal funeral home, 4330 South Redwood Rd.
Interment will be at the Taylorsville cemetery 11:00 a.m. following the viewing.
