Gregory James Goodro, affectionately known as Greg, passed away on March 5, 2026, in West Jordan, Utah at the age of 65.
Greg was born on February 26, 1961, in Salt Lake City, Utah where he also spent his childhood. He was the son of Jim and Pat Goodro. Greg grew up alongside his siblings Cami, Tyler, Bryan, and Curt.
From a young age, Greg was known for being bright, hardworking, and curious about the world around him. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, pottery, and playing football. He consistently excelled in school, earning high honors during his academic years.
Greg attended Brighton High School before continuing his education at Brigham Young University, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in science and a minor in Spanish.
Greg worked for many years at Dynatronics Medical Products before later becoming the manager at an IFA Garden Center. The position suited him well, allowing him to spend his days around plants and share his knowledge and passion with others.
Greg was known by family and friends as a shy yet friendly person who possessed a sharp mind and a great sense of humor. He was independent, thoughtful, and always willing to help others when he could. His hobbies and passions included gardening, traveling, going on cruises, attending concerts, pottery, cooking, and playing games with family. Greg also enjoyed raising chickens and often shared fresh eggs with others.
Greg is survived by his loving wife Vickie and his children Kallie, Max, Kara, and Weston, as well as 15 grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother Pat Goodro and siblings Cami, Tyler, Bryan, and Curt, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Greg's legacy lives on through his children and the many people whose lives he touched with his kindness and generosity.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at 10124 S 1300 W, South Jordan, Utah 84095. Family and friends are welcome to attend and remember Greg together.
Greg will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
