Benjamin Lee Pierce

Benjamin Lee Pierce passed away January 24, 2026 after years of battling poor health. Ben was born on August 27, 1975 to David Howard Pierce and Jacqueline Lee Martin. Ben was the 3rd of 5 children born to David and Jackie.

He is survived by his father, David Howard Pierce (Therri), brother David (Tracie) and their 3 children, his sister Elizabeth and brother Daniel (Cherish) and their 3 children.

Ben is preceded in death by his sister Rebecca, and mother Jackie and his grandparents. We know that he is celebrating a joyful reunion with family and friends.

Ben was always a peacemaker in his life and with his family and those who knew him.

It was rare for Ben to turn anyone down or away; he was always serving his family and friends. He made friends easily anywhere he went, often socializing into the night with people he came to know in various and common places.

In high school, Ben was the only sophomore that joined the acapella choir at Brighton High School. His voice was strong and beautiful when he sang. He enjoyed music and singing as he grew up and throughout his school years.

Ben served his community by working as a janitor's assistant at several schools, lastly at Summit Academy. He was treasured and admired by his principal and his fellow colleagues. They have shared stories of service, one that sticks out is how he even babysat for a coworker. He left fond memories with the staff who mutually shared his love.

Ben was kind. He was jovial and had a great sense of humor. His laugh could be heard from far away, and you just couldn't help but join in when he laughed. He had such a bright smile, and his eyes sparkled.

Ben is going to be missed by many. We know that he is out of pain, and in a state of love and happiness.

We will hold a celebration of life in honor of Ben in April 2026, with details to follow.

Ben left a little spark of love everywhere he went, and we will miss him until we meet again.
