The funeral service celebrating the life of Steven Kluenenberg, of Wadena, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wadena, with Pastor Nate Loer presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Steve, age 71, passed away surrounded by his family on December 1, 2023, at his home in Wadena, MN, with care provided by Knute Nelson Hospice.
Steven was born to Bernard and MaryAnn (Schmitz) Kluenenberg on May 25, 1952, at Wesley Hospital in Wadena, MN. He was a graduate of Sebeka High School and Staples AVTI, and was employed for 31 years at Homecrest Industries in the assembly department.
Hours away from work, Steve enjoyed fishing in the Red Eye river and area lakes with special trips to Lake Superior and Canada. Outdoors he liked to deer hunt, watch deer in their yard, tend to the yard and enjoyed bonfires, large and small. He also had a talent for working on small engines and wood working. He listened to hundreds of audio books. For the Christmas season and the Immanuel Lutheran Smorgasboards Steve was an avid rosette-maker! Traveling to visit family and enjoy fresh seafood off the coast of Maine, along with attending grandkids' activities was especially fun.
Preceding Steve in death were his parents, Bernard and MaryAnn; brother, Larry Tuorila; and in-laws, Harold and Maybelle Dinsmore.
Loving memories of Steve will remain with his wife, Gail; daughters, Susan (Kellie Carr) of Syracuse, NY and Christine (Dennis) Krell of Sebeka; grandchildren, Aden, Logan and Ryanne Krell; siblings, RoseAnn (Richard) Murray, Ivy (Mike) Pearson, Karl Kluenenberg, and Janine (Darrell) Corbin; along with brother-in-law, Scott (Twyla) Dinsmore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steve's grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Derrick Murray, Galen Murray, Jason Kluenenberg, Kyle Kluenenberg, Evan Corbin and Mike Schmitz.
Burial will be in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery North, near Ulen, MN.
Memorials in Steven's name may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Immanuel Lutheran Church or Communication Center State Services for the Blind.
