Steven David Lewis
On Sunday, October 26, 2025, Steven David Lewis, a man of extraordinary strength, boundless love, and unwavering dedication, passed from this life, leaving an enduring legacy. Born on July 20, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Reed and Elizabeth Lewis, Steve's life was a shining example of hard work, family, and resilience.
Steve married the love of his life, Donna Lewis, on June 28, 1971, and their eternal bond was sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on April 6, 1995. Together, they created a vibrant, blended family-"yours, mine, and ours." Steve brought three sons, Donna brought two sons and a daughter, and together they welcomed three more sons and two daughters, forming a loving family of eleven children. Family was the cornerstone of Steve and Donna's lives, and their devotion to each other and their children illuminated every moment they shared.
Steve was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Reed and Elizabeth, his son David, his brothers Gary and Roy, his sister Joan, and his cherished wife, Donna. Their reunion in eternity is undoubtedly filled with joy. He leaves behind his ten living children, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward his legacy of love and strength.
Renowned for his remarkable work ethic, Steve often balanced two or three jobs-working as a welder, mechanic, truck driver, computer repair technician, and Novell Engineer-to provide for his family. His skilled hands could fix anything, from machinery to electronics, and his heart was equally adept at nurturing those he loved. Despite enduring a broken back and countless injuries, Steve's resolve never faltered. For him, rising each day to provide for his family was a sacred responsibility.
Even with his demanding schedule, Steve always found time for adventure and connection. He treasured taking Donna and their children hunting, camping, fishing, and motorcycle riding, creating cherished memories that will live on. His physical and emotional strength was a guiding light, and his quiet endurance through life's challenges inspired all who knew him.
Steven David Lewis was a man of unparalleled grit, profound love, and steadfast devotion. His legacy endures in his ten children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and the countless lives he touched with his kindness and perseverance. Though deeply missed, his spirit will forever inspire and guide those fortunate enough to have known him.
