Steven Eugene Martin

Steven Eugene Martin, 52, of London, passed away, Sunday, December 23, 2007, at his home. He was born April 22, 1955, at Covina, California to Zelodious Jasper "Jack" and Alice Jean Crowder Martin. He was retired from the telephone company in California after 25 years when he moved to London, Arkansas in 2003. He enjoyed all sports, but was a huge fan of NASCAR and football. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his son, Steven Martin of Arizona; his mother, Jean Martin of Russellville; a sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Dick Rubalcava of Arizona; a brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Cathi Martin of California; three nephews, Michael Griggs, Gary Griggs, and Ditto Martin; a niece, Lisa Deveny; three step children, Tami Daigle, Chris Daigle, and Ray Lewis; three grandchildren, Landon, Zoe, and Lane; and several uncles, aunts, and cousins. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007, at Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Don Baker officiating. Burial will be in East Point Cemetery at Russellville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service. There will be a reception for family and friends following the committal service at London Church of God of Prophecy at London. Pallbearers will be Steven Martin, Michael Griggs, Gary Griggs, Ditto Martin, Chris Daigle, and Alex Crowder. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.
