Mr. Steven Anthony Miles, 74, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at The Willows Assisted Living Facility in Philadelphia, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 21, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Ben Laird officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Miles was born October 16, 1951, in Louisville, MS. He was a longtime resident of the Fork Road Community near Philadelphia, MS. Until his retirement, Steven worked in the construction trades in Winston and Neshoba counties. He was a skilled carpenter, plumber, and electrician. He loved bream fishing and gardening.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Cleo Miles and Dorothy Edwards Miles; his daughter, Yancie Marie Miles; and his brother, Silas Wesley Miles.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Haimes Miles of Philadelphia, MS; three sons, Michael (Rachel) Miles of Sebastopol, MS; Lenny Miles, and Wesley Miles both of Philadelphia, MS; and two daughters, Cecily Miles (Asif) Zaffar of Philadelphia, MS, and Kaitlin Miles of Ackerman, MS; two brothers, Sammy (Gail) Miles, and Stanley (Beth) Miles; 13 grandchildren, Evan (Katie) Miles, Nina Marie Miles, Morgan Miles, Ian Miles, Declan Miles, Aiden Miles, Latif (Sana) Zaffar, Tahira Rae Zaffar, Chloe McMinn, Marshall Miles, Raven Miles, Tanner Miles, and Jackson Luke Miles; and one great grandchild, Dixie Miles.
Pallbearers will be Ben Laird, B.J. Laird, Randy Miles, Alan Miles, Tim Stokes, and Jodie Edwards.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideons.
