Steven Mobley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Castle Ridge Mortuary - West Military Dr. on Dec. 13, 2025.
With a life marked by selfless love and devotion, Steven Ralph Mobley, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on September 19, 1953, in Taylor, Texas, he was a beacon of generosity and affection for all who knew him. Steven's final days were spent surrounded by loving family in San Antonio, Texas.
Steven is lovingly remembered by his wife of 33 years, Elmia Mobley. Their partnership was one of deep affection and mutual support, embodying a love story that was admired by everyone who witnessed it. Steven was a loving father to his children, Anthony (Jenny) Buan, Arlene (Edgar) Tejero, Arceli (Phil) Hannant, and Archie (Bertha) Buan. He was a pillar in their lives, always guiding them with wisdom and kindness.
His life was further enriched by the joys of grandparenthood. Steven's legacy continues in the lives of his grandchildren - Angelica, Steven, Anika, Ariel, Jay Jay, Hazel, Christina, Alberto Jr, Jeric, Jasmine, John, Isabel, Alexis, and Alyssa - and his numerous cherished great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Steven's love for his family was boundless, and each child was a precious addition to the vibrant tapestry of his life.
Before his peaceful retirement, Steven dedicated years of service to his nation as a member of the United States Air Force. His commitment, discipline, and courage were trademarks of his character, not just in service to his country but also in his personal life. A devout Christian, Steven lived his faith through action, never hesitating to lend a helping hand.
Steven was a man of many passions, with a particular fondness for Cowboys football. His enthusiasm for the games was infectious and brought joy to many gatherings. But above all else, his most defining qualities were his selflessness, his handiness around the home, and his loving nature. Steven was the rock on which his family could always rely, and his capacity to love knew no limits.
He joins his parents, George and Ruby Mobley, his sister Janice, and his children, Alberto Buan, and Alma Torres in eternal rest, leaving a legacy of love and precious memories for his family and friends to cherish.
Steven's life was a testament to the enduring strength of love, the value of service, and the importance of family. His memory will be held in the hearts of those he touched, as those who knew him strive to embody the kindness and dedication he showed to everyone. Steven Ralph Mobley will be profoundly missed, yet his spirit lives on through the countless lives he has lovingly shaped.
