Steven Paul Montebello, 63, of Monson, Ma passed away on January 10, 2025, following a brief illness. Born in Springfield, MA, he resided in Monson since 1991.
Son of the late Herbert Montebello and Marcia (Hughes) Montebello, he leaves his wife Susie (Grant) Montebello and their son Matt of Monson; and his brother, David Montebello and his wife Lisa Montebello, of NY.
A graduate of Classical High School, he played trumpet in the school band and was selected to participate in the national "Americas Youth in Concert" program. As part of the orchestra, Steve played in Carnegie Hall, Notre Dame and other famous locations throughout Europe. Steve attended Colby College majoring in Psychology, History, Education and East Asian studies. He had many wonderful memories of his time there, and the friends he made.
A retired manager at The Hartford Insurance group, he enjoyed music, movies, reading, nature and travel. His greatest happiness came from spending time with his family and friends.
Visiting hours for Steve will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 11-1, with a Celebration of Life immediately following at Bryon Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen St., Springfield, MA.
