Steven Howard Neander passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 58, surrounded by his two loving sons. Steve was a devoted father, proud grandfather, beloved son, caring brother, and a loyal friend to many.

Born on March 12, 1967, Steve spent most of his life in Villa Park, Illinois. From a young age, he had a creative eye and worked as a photographer for youth sports teams-something he truly enjoyed, especially working with the kids. He was a talented artist, an award-winning dart player, and a lifelong lover of Chicago sports.

In high school, Steve was a standout baseball player, known for his exceptional talent on the field. Many believed he had the potential to play professionally. Even after school, he continued to play in a co-ed softball league, where he was considered the best player on the team-something that brought him great joy.

Steve worked as a purchasing agent at Doyle Signs, his family's company, for over 30 years. His loyalty and commitment to the business were unmatched, and he took great pride in his work.

Above all, Steve's greatest pride and joy were his three sons. Their bond was unbreakable, and he loved them with his whole heart. Becoming a grandfather was a moment of pure happiness for Steve, and he embraced that role with the same warmth and love he gave his children.

Steven is survived by his two sons, Ryan and Tyler Neander; his father, Charles Neander; his siblings, Mark Neander, Sharon (Tom) Nolan, Susan (John) Planert, and Kevin Neander; and his grandchildren, Brayden and Hadley Stoppa. He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Alex Stoppa, and his loving mother, Margaret Neander.

Steve will be remembered for his big heart, artistic spirit, and unwavering love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and strength.
