Thomas Robinson

Thomas "Tom" Robinson, 77, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Downers Grove, Illinois. Born on June 25, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, Tom lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his career, and his passions.

Tom spent an impressive 50 years at AFI Industries, where he began as a headerman and rose to the position of Vice President of Manufacturing. His commitment and work ethic were evident throughout his career, earning him the respect and admiration of colleagues and peers alike.

Above all else, Tom cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Margie Shelton; his daughters Sharon (James) Ziegler, Stephanie (Kameron) Dorsey, and Jennifer (Mark) Kearns; and his stepson Aaron Shelton. He was a proud grandfather to Sara Ziegler, Katy (TJ) Romack, Skylar Dorsey, Fiona Kearns, Megan Kearns, Abigail Kearns, Colleen Kearns, and Ava Shelton. Tom also leaves behind his brother Robert Robinson. He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Teresa Robinson and his brothers Rick Robinson and Jeffrey Robinson.

Tom was known for his humor and loyalty. He had a deep love for animals and an unwavering devotion to those he held dear. His family fondly remembers him as someone who would do anything for them-a testament to the love and care he shared throughout his life.
