Steven Michael O'Connell, 67 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024, in Okemah, Oklahoma. He was born on July 28, 1957 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Melford and Mary (Tiger) Hobia.
Steven attended school in Weleetka, Oklahoma and worked for FADCO as a carpenter. He enjoyed woodworking and watching TV and spending time with his dog "Babygirl". He loved being with his family and especially spending time with his great nieces and nephews. Steven will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Steven is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Melford Hobia, 2 sons, Scotty O'Connell and Benjamin Cody O'Connell and a brother, Donnie "DT" Tiger.
He is survived by a son, Matthew O'Connell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Brothers, Richard Tiger and his wife Marnie of Reno, Nevada and Mark Tiger and his wife Sallie of Westville, Oklahoma; Sisters, Kelly Hobia of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sharon Hobia of Weleetka, Oklahoma, Karen Birdcreek of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and Bonita Baker and her husband Terian of Henryetta, Oklahoma; Sister-in-Law, Patty Tiger of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Viewing for Steven will be on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Integrity Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bill Hobia, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Kialegee Indian Cemetery in Wetumka, Oklahoma.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jake Tiger, Mekko Riggs, Corey Lassiter, Terian Baker, Zavier Vaughn and Richie Tiger.
